His debut at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin as Michael in G. F. Haas' chamber opera «Thomas» was recently followed by his second nomination as «Young Artist of the Year» in the magazine «Opernwelt». Elmar Hauser is making further role and house debuts in the current season: he can be seen for the first time as Ruggiero in the Frankfurt Opera's new production of Handel's «Alcina» under Julia Jones and Johannes Erath. He sings the roles of Sorceress and Spirit in Purcell's «Dido and Aeneas» at Bühnen Bern and returns to the Prinzregententheater in Munich in the role of First Angel/Boy in George Benjamin's «Written on Skin». Further appearances will take him to the Hildalgo Festival, the Cuvilliés Theatre in Munich and to Espoo with the Tapiola Sinfonetta. In August, he won first prize at the Concorso Lirico Internazionale ‘CLIP’ in Portofino.
